Naohiro Mouri
Executive Vice President and Global Chief Auditor, AIG
Naohiro Mouri is Executive Vice President and Chief Auditor of American International Group (AIG), a global property-casualty, life and retirement, and general insurance company based in New York.
In a career spanning more than 20 years, Mouri-san has held a number of chief auditor positions. Before joining AIG, he was a Statutory Executive Officer, Senior Vice President and Chief Auditor for MetLife Alico Insurance K.K. Japan. He also led the audit departments at J.P. Morgan Asia Pacific; Shinsei Bank; Morgan Stanley Japan; and Deutsche Bank Japan. He began his career at Arthur Andersen in Atlanta and Tokyo.
Committed to supporting internal audit professionals, Mouri-san also has held numerous board and volunteer leadership positions at The IIA, including International Secretary (2007-08), Vice Chairman – Professional Development (2008-09), Vice Chairman – Professional Guidance (2015-16), Vice Chairman – Professional Practices (2016-17), Senior Vice Chairman of the Global Board (2017-18), and Chairman of the Global Board (2018-19). He has been IIA-Japan director since 2003.
Mouri-san served from 2001-06 as the first elected president of the Asian Confederation of Institutes of Internal Auditors (ACIIA). ACIIA recognized him with its “Outstanding Contribution in the Field of Internal Auditing” honor in 2016.
Mouri-san advocates for the profession through IIA and other industry forums, and he has lectured at a number of universities in Japan, including the Meiji University Graduate Program for Professional Accountancy and Senshu University. Mouri-san co-authored “Korega Kinyukikan no Naibukansa da (This Is Internal Audit for Financial Institutions),” which is available in Japanese and Mandarin.
Mouri-san is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Georgia State University.
The theme Mouri-san chose for his year, as Global Chairman was “Emphasize the Basics Elevate the Standards.” Underscoring how important conforming to the Standards is in ensuring internal audit remains relevant, he wanted his theme to be a reminder that “we must use all the tools provided by the Standards to build a foundation upon which to stake our professional claim. If each of us strives to elevate the Standards in our daily practice, then together we can raise the profession to new heights.”

Glen has had a long storied career at Ernst & Young (EY) LLP in the Southern California region, promoted to Partner in the Long Beach office and specializing in both Audit and the firm's Japanese Business Services Group. Glen provided Executive Sponsorship and Mentorship to EY's internal Pan Asian Professional Network for many years while at the firm and steps into the Ascend LA Metro Chapter Presidency after a robust year of service as Chairman of the Board for the Japan America Society of Southern California.

Jorge Selvas
Head of West Coast Coverage, International Subsidiary Banking, HSBC
Jorge Selvas is a corporate banker with over 18 years of international banking and financial services experience.In this role, Jorge develops and strengthens HSBC’s subsidiary coverage of multinational corporates in the US, ensuring close collaboration amongst the banking and product groups to leverage HSBC’s global network for international clients on the west coast.
Jorge joined HSBC in 2012 and currently based in San Francisco. His prior work experience includes roles with Citigroup and American Express, both in New York, and before that Lucent Technologies in Miami.Jorge holds an MBA from Duke University and an undergraduate B.A. degree from Wake Forest University.

Ronald Reeves
Head of Diversity & Inclusion for the United States, Canada, Latin America & Caribbean, AIG
Ronald Reeves is currently Head of Diversity & Inclusion for the United States, Canada, Latin America & Caribbean for AIG. He has been in his current role for three years and has worked for AIG for 19 years. He is responsible for partnering with AIG’s leaders, managers and employees to design, develop and implement a sustainable and measurable D & I strategy that focuses on talent, workplace and the marketplace.
AIG has been named to the 2018 Diversity Inc’s Top 50 List. AIG has also been recognized as one of the Best Places To Work for LGBT Equality by the Human rights Campaign for seven consecutive years.
Ronald is a seasoned financial services industry training & leadership development professional. With over 20 years of insurance industry experience, he has extensive global leadership and management development experience. He has traveled to over 15 different countries in the Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific facilitating leadership, management and professional development programs. He is a skilled presenter, facilitator, sales trainer, instructional designer, project manager, executive/sales/life coach & learning officer. Ronald has deep expertise in sales training/coaching, business/technical training as well as management, leadership and professional development. He holds numerous learning & development certifications such as Achieve Global, DDI, Wilson Learning, Results Coaching Systems, MBTI and Facet 5 to name a few.
Ronald also has experience writing state training grant proposals as well as administering million dollar grants. He is a former award winning Sales Agent & Sales Manager for Allstate Insurance Company. Ronald is passionate about diversity & inclusion, leadership/executive development as well as improving sales revenue/production. He received his B.A. in Journalism from San Jose State University. Ronald resides in Los Angeles.

Sumithra (Sumi) Barry
Senior Vice President, Consumer and Market Intelligence, NBC Entertainment
Sumithra (Sumi) Barry is Senior Vice President, Consumer & Market Intelligence, NBC Entertainment. She reports to Jeff Bader, President of Program Planning Strategy & Research, NBC Entertainment.
Barry, who had been Director, Consumer & Market Intelligence, NBCU Entertainment, is responsible for all of the network's primary research for all NBC Entertainment programming.
As Director of Program Research NBC Entertainment, Barry was in charge of managing research for primetime series, on-air-promotion, long-form programming and specials. She also developed ideas to improve NBCU's program-testing methodologies. In addition, Barry coordinated with program development and current programming departments to provide insight into the collective television audience and worked with On-Air Promotion to enhance research strategies.
Earlier, Barry had served as Manager, Program Research.
Before coming to NBCU, Barry worked at the Disney Channel as a Senior Research Analyst from February 1998-April 2000 (when she joined NBCU). While at Disney Channel, she provided audience analysis to the program development and scheduling departments and managed the weekly ratings analysis and other custom reports.
From December 1994-March 1997, Barry was a Market Research Executive for Astro Television in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. While there, she designed primary research to support program content and scheduling during the company's startup phase. Likewise, Barry also developed audience-tracking measures for programs and managed pricing and packaging in program sales.
Barry's first professional experience was at Advance Tutorial Center (also in Kuala Lumpur) from December 1993-September 1994 where she served as a Marketing Executive. Her job included overseeing print advertising for the law school and monitoring feedback about the general student population.
Barry, who is a native of Malaysia in Southeast Asia, graduated with a bachelor of marketing degree from the University of Wollongong in New South Wales, Australia. She also majored in psychology there. She currently lives in Burbank with her husband, Jonathan Barry.

Lilly Tung
Senior Vice President, Area Manager for Southern California North Area, HSBC
Lilly joined HSBC in 2006 and has held several roles including Branch Manager, Cluster Branch Manager, Premier Market Leader, and Retail Banking Sales Manager. In 2014 she was promoted to her current position as Retail Banking & Wealth Management Sr. VP Area Manager for Southern California North. In this role she covers Los Angeles West Side, San Fernando Valley and San Gabriel Valley markets overseeing retail bank, mortgage, wealth and retail business banking with 100+ FTE. Lilly has consistently ranked one of the top performing areas in the network and is a 5-time Leadership Club winner.
Prior to joining HSBC, Lilly was Premier Relationship Manager with Bank of America and International Marketing Manager for Bank of the West. Lilly has extensive client relationship management experience with both premier and business banking.
A graduate from Arizona State University with a degree in Finance Lilly has also received additional leadership training at Stanford University. She is bilingual in Mandarin and Shanghai Dialect.

Priscilla Lim

Priscilla is a corporate banker with 16 years of experience in banking and law. Priscilla manages the US-China Corridor for HSBC’s International Subsidiary Banking team in the West Coast. She joined HSBC in 2005 and have worked with HSBC in Brunei Darussalam, Hong Kong, London, New York and currently based in Los Angeles. Prior to HSBC, she worked as a lawyer in New Zealand for 2 years. Priscilla is actively involved with the Asian-Pacific and Islander community within the Bank and currently acts as the Executive Advisor to the SoCal chapter. She has also recently been appointed as a Board Member for the Ascend LA Metro Chapter.

Philip Tam
Workday Recruiting Lead, DXC Technology; Ascend LA Metro Board Member
Philip started his career leading a startup focused on passive, automated recruiting processes, aiming to assist small and medium sized businesses augment their HR efforts. After the launch of Workday Recruiting, he joined PwC Advisory Services where he worked on leading ground breaking clients through the ecosystem in milestone projects. He advanced to a Senior Solutions Architect role, and helped PwC launch Workday across the US firm while simultaneously developing their practice model. Now at DXC Technology Services, Philip leads business development efforts and serves as a Workday Lead Architect. He oversees talent development efforts for the practice and is heavily engaged in talent acquisition.
