Julie Farraj
DVP/GM Wage Garnishments, Employment Verification & Unemployment Claims, ADP
Julie began her 32-year career with ADP in the Tax business. She has held multiple leadership positions across various products within Compliance Solutions including the Tax Processing organization and the Service organization for Payments and Compliance. Julie is currently the General Manager for the Wage Garnishments, Employment Verification and Unemployment Claims businesses where she has successfully led the expansion and growth of those three products across ADP clients.
Julie has been fortunate to work with some great leaders and mentors and is passionate about creating the same opportunities she had for others. She has been a member of Diversity Council, Achievement in Mentoring, Women in Leadership and happy to serve as the sponsor for the Asia BRG.
Julie is a seven-time recipient of the ADP Presidents Awards for exceptional Service and Operations performance. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from the University of La Verne. She tributes her success to teams that share in a similar vision and passion, listening to associates and clients and building strong collaboration within her network.
On a personal note, Julie is married and has four kids. She also comes from a large family as well so birthdays and Christmas parties are always a blast. She enjoys traveling, taking long walks and spending time with her family.

Andrea Bereal
GM/VP SBS, ADP
She started her payroll career at 14 years old. Her mother, a retired ADP associate, trained her to work alongside her during every school break and vacation.
Andrea’s ADP career started in 2002 as a result of the Zurich Payroll acquisition. She started in Major Accounts and held multiple Implementation leadership positions. After 9 years in MAS, Andrea sought a lateral opportunity and transferred to SBS to expand her cross functional and business unit experience. After 3 ½ years as VP, Client Service, Andrea was promoted to General Manager.
Andrea is a passionate leader and invests a lot of time developing her associates. Her success has been a result of hard work, dedication, listening to the voice of her associates and some great input and nudging from her mentors. She believes in being real, creating followership, understanding the ADP business and driving results.
Andrea has a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California and a Master’s degree in Management with honors from the University of Redlands in Redlands, California.
On a personal note, Andrea is married, has 2 college aged sons and a bad puppy. She enjoys cooking and baking and activities that take her outdoors like walking and bike riding. She is an avid Lakers and Dodger fan.

Karen Chung

Karen Chung is the Director of Internal Audit for STAAR Surgical Company (STAAR), a leading developer, manufacturer, and marketer of implantable lenses for the eye to treat impaired vision. She is drives business processes and controls improvement at STAAR. She is also a Certified Public Accountant in California. Prior to STAAR, Karen has 13 years of experience with internal audit, enterprise risk assessment, organizational and business process effectiveness/improvement, corporate governance and risk management, government contracts and research compliance, licensing/royalty audits and contracting reviews, internal control functions, information technology general controls, financial reporting, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX 404). Prior to STAAR, Karen was at EY and Protiviti helping clients drive process improvements across. At EY, she served key clients in the not-for-profit, higher education, and academic research center industries for 10 years. At Protiviti, Karen provided internal audit services to key healthcare accounts.
Karen has served the Ascend LA Metro Chapter Board for over five years holding various Board positions from VP of Programs to EVP and Co-President for 2016 through 2017. Karen introduced the “TedTalk” executive series platform at Ascend's annual gala that became widely popular and utilized in the past few years' galas. Karen has also mentored and coached colleagues and professionals through her leadership positions at STAAR, Ascend LA Metro Chapter, EY, and Protiviti.
Karen is a first time working mom with a 18-month baby girl named Jasmine. She enjoys spending time with Jasmine, cooking, and going to the gun range with her husband. Karen graduated from the University of Southern California with a BS in Accounting and Accounting Information Systems.

Nacho Andrade
Principal Product Manager, Product Management, ADP
Yes, Nacho is his real name, it's the nickname for Ignacio like the nickname for Robert is Bob. The food is named after the person who invented it. He is a Father of 4 girls. He collects vinyl records and vintage audio. He grew up working in his father's auto shop and used those skills to restore Honda scooters. He has started three companies, the first was designing logos and websites for small businesses. He can solve a Rubik's cube in under 2 minutes. His Myers Briggs personality profile is ENTP, The Visionary. People call Nacho 'RadioShack' because he can make almost anything work.

Livia is responsible for the strategy and operations of the Pacific Northwest Region for Ascend, a not-for-profit focused on promoting Pan-Asian executives in corporate America. Her passion lies in supporting community vision and mission to move corporate and organizational practices towards a more inclusive working and leadership culture. "Excellent relationship builder," "incredible mentor," "enthusiastic, energetic and professional," are key aspects of who Livia is as viewed by her colleagues.
Prior to Ascend, Livia was a Senior Associate at Ernst & Young, helping to build business in the PNW for the firm and led client-serving teams to major wins with Fortune 500 global companies. She has also been a Founder and Business Owner, building a brand from scratch and continues her entrepreneurial education into the present.
Her community work includes roles as a Board Director for the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) - Accounting Career Awareness Program, San Francisco/Bay Area Chapter and Co-President and Executive Council Member for Ellevate Network's (Investing in Women) San Francisco and Silicon Valley Chapters.
